Vanessa Kinney started dancing with Miss Debbie in Oroville at the age of two and was a member of Chico Community Ballet for 10 years. She has performed many roles in the Nutcracker including Peppermints, Snow, Clara, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. Although Clara will always hold the most special place in her heart, some of Vanessa’s other favorite roles include the Queen of Hearts and Helena from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Vanessa has trained with companies across the United States including Sacramento Ballet, Anaheim Ballet, Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Nashville Ballet. She now is a nurse and has two beautiful daughters that seem to have been born with their mother’s love for dancing.
